A teenage runaway has been found living in a Walmart supermarket in Corsicana, Texas.
The 14 year old was reported missing on the 28th of July after disappearing from his aunt’s house where he had been staying whilst his parents were out of town.
The boy managed to hide from staff in 2 secret compounds made of stacks of towels, baby pram boxes and toilet paper.
So that he did not risk detection by going to the store’s toilet, the boy wore diapers and changed his clothes regularly.
The boy successfully hid from store employees and customers in his 2 hideaways where he hid necessities, designed himself a makeshift bed and ate stolen food from the store.
The runaway made a gap in the drink aisle which let him grab juice and he even collected a fish from the pet department!
A trail of rubbish eventually led store workers to the boy’s whereabouts.
The runaways mothers said that this is not the first time her son has disappeared, and that he has a history of disappearing and has hidden in abandoned houses and business buildings on past occasions.
Walmart has not confirmed if it will press charges against the boy.
