Alex Honnold, perhaps the worlds greatest rock climber, has completed the first-ever free solo of El Capitan in Yosemite, California.

It has been described as one of the worlds greatest climbing feats in history.

He climbed the Huber brothers’ Freerider which is 1000m high without a rope or any protective equipment in 3 hours 56 minutes.

“I don’t think it’s really hit me yet,” Honnold says. “I’m so freakin’ tired now.”

Below is a documentary of Alex climbing a smaller mountain a few years ago. However, this gives yo an idea of what he achieved.
