Two scientists have develop a record breaking robot that can solve a Rubik’s Cube in 1.019 seconds.

The inventors are hoping they latest effort will go straight into the records books.

The previous quickest time by a robot was 2.39 seconds.

The fastest time for a human to solve a Rubik’s Cube is 4.9 seconds
