Poaching in South Africa has seen Rhino deaths hit a record high.

Poaching is the illegal hunting of wild animals.

In 2014 alone, poachers have killed 1,020 rhinos in Africa which is the country with the largest rhino population in the world.

This dramatic increases in poaching is a result of the increasing value of rhino horns in Asian countries.

In Kruger National Park, over half the rhinos living there have been killed.

The rhino population is falling so quickly that it is thought that the number of deaths could overtake the number of births of rhinos in just four years.

This will push the already endangered species towards extinction.
