Rare Zebra Born at Chester Zoo

Chester Zoo in England has just welcomed the arrival of a rare baby zebra.

The Grevy’s Zebra is the first of its kind to be born at Chester Zoo in over 34 years.

The foal was born with brown stripes which will turn black as she grows older.

The is only an estimated 2,500 Grevy’s Zebra left in the wild.

The Grevy’s Zebra is the largest of all zebras and is distinctive for having the narrowest stripes.

The Grevy’s Zebra is now endangered due to lack of water sources, disease and hunting for their skins.
