Thrill seekers on the roller coaster at Rainbows End had to be evacuated off the ride over the weekend after a safety mechanism caused it to stop.
Passengers were stuck on the corkscrew roller coaster at Rainbow’s End for 15 minutes.
This is the first time the safety mechanism had been activated in a number of years.
The fault was blamed on overheating.
Rainbow’s End chief executive Karen Crabb said the ride was thoroughly checked and no fault was found.
“I put my own children on those rides all the time, I go on them myself. I wouldn’t operate the rides if I had any concern at all,” Ms Crabb said.
Four of the passengers left after the incident and their tickets were refunded, Ms Crabb said.
