Protesters blocked roads in central Auckland on Saturday afternoon. It is the second time in two weeks this has occurred.

The group was part of the Brian Tamaki-led Freedom and Rights Coalition. They gathered at the Domain for a ‘Kiwi Patriots Day and March’ before a crowd of about 1000 marched out onto the streets at about 1.30 pm.

The march was a peaceful protest but did close down some Auckland streets.

Inspector Jim Wilson, Auckland City East Area Commander said it was a “peaceful protest, which police monitored accordingly”.
