Propeller from ferry found

The propeller from Cook Strait ferry Aratere has been collected from the bottom of Cook Strait.
It was collected off the sea floor, 120m below sea level.
It is being taken to a workshop to be examined by the Transport Accident Investigation Commission.
The Interislander ferry lost it propeller on 5 November, midway through a crossing from Picton to Wellington.
The six-ton propeller is 4.5m wide.
