Multi-Millionarie Mutt Lange has gifted New Zealand 95% of four high country stations between Queenstown and Wanaka, which is the largest private land conservation gift that New Zealand has ever received. Lunge, who is also singer Shania Twain’s ex-husband, is a big fan of New Zealand and was keen to have the 53,000 hectare property protected for future generations to enjoy.
Mr lunge is passionate about this beautiful spot of land in the South and will continue to spend millions of dollars restoring it to its former high country glory. This includes establishing parks and tracks that the public can access on bike, foot and horseback. The land area is immense, roughly the combined areas of Abel Tasman and Paparoa National parks.
