Prince George – the three-month-old son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury at Saint James’s Palace in London.

The prince was baptised with water from the River Jordan. The River Jordan is where Jesus is said to have  been baptised by John the Baptist.

Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton both gave readings at the service.

The Queen and Prince Philip, were there, as well Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, and Kate’s parents Michael and Carol Middleton.

After the service an historic official photo was taken. It will show the Queen with three future kings – her son Charles, her grandson William and her great-grandson George. This (four generations of monarchs photographed together) hasn’t happened for more than a century.
