The Pope recently sold his Harley-Davidson motorbike at an auction, with the bike selling for almost 20 times the value due to it’s previous owner.

The motorbike sold for €241,500 ($397,171 NZ dollars). The tank is signed by the Pope, along with the Harley Davidson leather jacket which sold for $94,880 NZ dollars.

Pope Francis donated the motorbike to the Catholic charity, Caritas, after signing it at a special ceremony.

The money raised from the auction for the motorbike and jacket will go to renovations of a hostel and soup kitchen in Rome’s Termini railway station.
