An American Airlines flight was so delayed due to thunderstorms that the pilot ordered pizza for its 159 frustrated passengers.
The flight was meant to go from Los Angeles to Dallas-Fort Worth but was diverted to Wichita Falls Municipal Airport in Wichita Falls, Texas to wait out the storm.
The plane’s pilot, Jeff Raines, knew what he had to do. In order to ensure everyone’s comfort and happiness, he called up Papa Johns and ordered 40 pizzas to be delivered to the airport. Even overnight plane delays are better with two slices of hot pizza.
Airline spokesman said, “We are always proud of our crew members who take great care of our customers who fly on American Airlines and are fortunate that they are the best in the business.”
After their impromptu pizza party, the passengers were able to reboard Friday morning and continue on their journey to Dallas.
