Just in time for the release of the last movie of the Hobbit Trilogy, director Peter Jackson has bee honoured with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Peter Jackson visited the Hollywood Walk of Fame with his family when he was 12 years old and says he never could have believed that one day his name would be amongst the stars.
The three-time Oscar-winning New Zealand filmmaker was further honoured by a privileged position for his star outside the home of the Academy Awards Ceremony, at the Dolby Theatre, amongst A-list celebrities and directors such as Nicole Kidman and Steven Spielberg.
Directing the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, Peter Jackson’s films have made almost $55 BILLION USD and the final chapter of the Hobbit is soon to be released to millions of anticipating fans.
Peter Jackson was surrounded by loved ones and key actors from both the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies as he was presented with his star – including Orlando Bloom, Lee Pace, Evangeline Lilly, Elijah Wood, Richard Armitage as well as the director’s wife and writer.
