Thousands of people have turned out to celebrate the 2014 Pasifika festival.
The event was held in Auckland and showcased a number of  Pacific traditions, dances and foods.
Organisers – who wanted to provide an authentically Pacific event – say this year’s festival attracted a large number of tourists, Pakeha, Asians and other non-Pasifika peoples.
All up there were 200 craft stalls, 100 food stalls and over 1000 performers over the two day event.
An interdenominational church service on Sunday was followed by more traditional dancing and performances on the 11 stages.
