US President Joe Biden has had a newly found octopus fossil named after him.

The scientists named the fossil Syllipsimopodi bideni. The fossil is approximately 330 million-years old and had ten legs compared with modern day octopuses which have eight.

Syllipsimopodi bideni breaks the oldest fossil record of the vampyropods. These are the group of cephalopods containing octopus and vampire squid.

Biden has a lot of things named after him, including a planet, an icecream flavour and a train station, but the most unusual one yet is this octopus.
