The NZ Warrior’s season is effectively over.
The New Zealand side were beaten by the Canberra Raiders 28-16 at BB Print Stadium over the wekeend.
The defeat rules out any chance that the team had in making the top eight.
The Warriors were quick off the blocks and played well in parts. However, basic errors and an inability to make the most of their chances ensure Canberra were never in trouble. Canberra led 16-6 at half time.
The warriors are currently in 11th place and their final game of the season is this weekend against the Titans.
Canberra Raiders 28 (Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, 2 Sebastian Kris, Jordan Rapana, Hudson Young tries; Jordan Rapana 4 goals) NZ Warriors 16 (Sean O’Sullivan, Rocco Berry, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, Hudson Young tries; Reece Walsh 2 goals). HT: 16-6
