The NZ Government has agreed to buy 1.5 million doses of a potential coronavirus vaccine.

The deal will be confirmed if the vaccine successfully passes all clinical trials and regulatory tests.

This amount will be enough for 750,000 people and if all goes well in trials, it could even be ready to go early next year.

In a statement, Research, Science and Innovation Minister Megan Woods said the vaccine is made from Pfizer and BioNTech.

Who would receive access to the first available vaccines has yet to be decided.

  1. One of my Family memebers said that there will most likely be one. Hopefully its less painfull and hopefully it will help us fight off Covid-19

  2. I don’t think we need a vaccine we are already doing very well with covid-19, plus what if it dosen’t work??? we have put millions of dollars down the drain. I don’t think we should of agreed to that.
