Sweden is heading towards abolishing their currency and relying completely on credit and debit cards.
Although Sweden was the first European country to introduce banknotes back in 1661, it is now working to convince people that digital payments are safer than cash.
The idea has become popular with the younger generation but elderly and those living in rural areas believe it to be risky as they are still uncomfortable with computers and mobiles.
Homeless people are also reluctant for the idea to go ahead as they will become fully dependent on government aid.
Sweden is not the only country working to remove paper currency and coins from their society. Denmark and Finland are also seemingly on-board with the idea.
