Nike has ended its sponsorship deal with Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving.

The move comes one month after Irving promoted a documentary which contained anti-Jewish material on social media.

The 30-year-old also missed eight games during his suspension from the NBA.

Speaking recently, Nike founder Phil Knight said: “Kyrie stepped over the line. It’s kind of that simple.”

Seven-time NBA All-Star Irving had partnered with Nike for eight years. According to Forbes, he had an $30m NZD contract with the brand.

Irving is a seven-time All-Star who has averaged 24.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 17 games this season.
