New Zealanders have ‘stood at dawn’ to commemorate 2020 Anzac Day.

Due to Covid-19 dawn services and parade have been cancelled.

However, that didn’t stop people – young and old – from getting up early and standing at the end of their driveway.

The Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, took part, commemorating Anzac Day from the front gate of Premier House in Wellington at 6am this morning.

This Anzac Day has had special significance to New Zealand because it marked the 75th anniversary since the end of World War II.

As part of the ‘stand at dawn’ people can share their Anzac Day pictures at standatdawn.com
