New Zealand is close to organising a Cook Islands travel bubble.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced that officials are visiting the Cook Islands on November 14 for face-to-face talks. Their goal is to confirm a safe travel bubble.
Ardern says although she does not expect to make an announcement within the next week, positive moves are being made.
Cook Islands Prime Minister Mark Brown is heartened by Ardern’s comments.
The Cook Islands has been declared Covid-19 free, and has been asking for a travel bubble for months. The Cook Island’s economy is based heavily on tourism.
This is really exciting! Especially because we haven’t been able to travel anywhere for ages!!!!
