A new species of beetle has been found inside some dinosaur poo.

A group of scientists has examined dinosaur poo that was around 230 million years and discovered a beetle that no one knew existed before!

The tiny beetle was found in fossilized droppings of the Silesaurus opolensis. This was a lizard like creature, weighing about 15kg, related to the dinosaurs.

Scientists were looking inside of the poo to find more about what the animal ate when they discovered the special beetle.

The new beetle is so small the scientist think it may have been swallowed alongside larger beetles.
