New President for Ukraine

A temporary president has been appointed in the Ukraine.

This follows months of protests and civil unrest in the country.

President Viktor Yanukovych was forced out of power on Saturday and a warrant has now been issued for his arrest.

The new stand in leader is Olexander Turchynov. He announced that one of his main goals is to strengthen the country’s relationship with Europe.

Politicians from around Europe are meeting to start working on a new government.

The new government want former PResident Viktor Yanukovych to be arrested, because hundreds of people were killed when security forces tried to break up protests last week.
