Moana Pasifika win first game of Super Rugby

Moana Pasifika have won their first game of Super Rugby Pacific with a golden point victory over the Hurricanes at Mt Smart Stadium on Friday.

During golden point the Hurricanes could not hold off a determined Moana Pasifika who won 24-19

Jordie Barrett ran in for the opening try of the night in the 6th minute.

Moana Pasifika were reduced to 14 men but still levelled the scores at the 24 minute mark when number Henry Time-Stowers scored.

Going into the break the scores remained 7-all.

The Hurricanes scored the first try after the break before being shortened to 14 men due to another yellow card.

Moana Pasifika hit back with another try but it was quickly followed up with a try to the Hurricanes

With two minutes remaining in the game Moana Pasifika levelled the scores and the sent the match to golden point.

In the sixth minute of extra time Danny Toala ran in the game-winning try to win the match
