Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

A couple redecorating their bathroom got an unexpected surprise when they removed the mirror, revealing a time capsule!

The time capsule found in Nevada was documenting the history of the house and its owners.

The first entry was a picture of the house as it looked originally when it was built in 1995, which the couple say looked rather different.

The photo was pinned to the wall behind the mirror along with a second picture of a happy couple.

A letter was also included, dated 2002, which explained the images. Phil Fleischmann created the wall after he bought the house in 1998 and asked any future owners to add to it.

Also included on the wall were some front pages of newspapers with headlines about the 9/11 attacks in 2001. Although not as pleasant to read as the letter, Phil believed it was an important part of history to be included.

There is plenty of room left on the wall for future entries. Who knows what hidden away in your house?
