An adorable miniature horse – thought to be the world’s smallest – has been uncovered in Russia.

Gulliver measures in at a tiny 49cm from hoof to shoulder blades.

The ‘miracle’ pony strutted his stuff at the 20th Hipposphere International Equestrian Exhibition in St Petersburg, Russia.

The American Miniature horse, who was born in June 2017 at the Hidalgo pony farm in northwest Russia, was the size of a cat when he was born.

Gulliver is named after Gulliver’s Travels, where the namesake is a giant to the little people who capture him on Liliput Island.

Gulliver is believed to be in for a chance at taking the Guinness World Record for smallest living male horse.

The smallest female horse record has been held by Thumbelina, a miniature sorrel brown mare, who measures 44.5 cm.
