A Mexican man named Jose Salvador Alvarenga claims to have been lost at sea for 13 months.
He claims that he was lost at sea after a day’s fishing trip went horribly wrong.
He says he survived by eating fish, birds and turtles that he caught with his bare hands.
Early this week  he washed up alone in ragged underpants and a bushy beard, 8,000 miles from home on a tiny Pacific island called Ebon. This island is part of the Marshall Islands.
Jose claims to have survived by drinking turtle blood and rainwater and eating birds and fish which he caught.
Jose and a companion set sail from Mexico in 2012 and it is believed that his friend died at sea several months before Jose was found.

  1. he looks way to healthy to have survived over a year without proper food or water but he does have the facts and why would he lie about something like that? my guess is it is true!

  2. He looks to healthy to have lived on a boat for a year. But he won’t lie about something like that.
