Lisa Carrington wins 7th World Title

Kiwi kayaker Lisa Carrington is a double world champion.

The fling kiwi has won a seventh successive women’s K1 200m world title and then added the K1 500m to that the following day.

The kiwi dominated throughout both the 200m and 500m races race at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Hungary.

Carrington finished the 200M race almost two seconds clear of the silver medallist Marta Walczykiewicz of Poland. She was 1.69 seconds ahead in the 500m race.

Carrington will also contest the K4 500 final with Kayla Imrie, Aimee Fisher and Caitlin Ryan.
