A leopard loose in the city of Meerut, India, has wildlife experts and police working together to capture it.

The leopard was first seen in a warehouse and then spotted entering an empty ward of an army hospital. The leopard later escaped through a hole in the wall and has been roaming the city ever since.

Schools and colleges have been closed and locals have been warned to be careful around the city.

There are around 10,000 leopards in India and tigers and other big cats have been known to stray into human populated areas from time to time.
