A 27 year old lady, Kayla Finley, was arrested in South Carolina and jailed over an overdue rental video.

Whilst visiting the police station to report a crime, Kayla discovered that there was a warrant for her arrest over a video that was 9 years overdue.

Kayla had rented the romantic comedy, Monster In Law, when she was 18 and several police warnings were sent to Kayla but she had since changed address.

Kayla said that she never received any notice about the video, otherwise she would have taken care of the problem.

Ms Finley told reporters that she was ‘disgusted and shocked’ at being held overnight and believes that her arrest was ridiculous.

Kayla will later appear in court but has announced that she intends to fight the ridiculous charges.

  1. thats ridiculous the police arrested someone for an overdue vid?thats not good, not a nice look for the police there.

  2. I think that they should’ve just charged her or kept up with her change of address. Being arrested is a bit ridiculous.

  3. i think that is a bit OTT of the police, but then again she could of handed it back over and paid the fine.
