The world-famous Krakatoa volcano has erupted in Indonesia.

Scientist have said that Krakatau has been erupting nonstop for 2 hours.

A fountain of lava and a huge plume of smoke has burst out of the top of the mountain.

Satellite imagery shows ash several kilometres into the air and a plume as high as 15km.

When Krakatoa erupted in 1883, it created a tsunami that was still a whopping 42m high when it hit land, killing 36,000 people.

  1. I think Krakatoa volcano has erupted a lot and think its going to erupt more in the future and I think that living in a place with a live volcano could be a little bit scary.
