Today is Wednesday 8th April, 2020.
In our learning today we are going to read about our moon, write a newspaper article and continue our study of geometry.
READING – Journal Story
Today we can read an article that astronauts may use their pee to make concrete to create buildings on the moon.
With that in mind we thought it would be good to read more about the moon. CLICK HERE to read this journal story.
After reading check out the other stories on Kiwi Kids News about the moon – CLICK HERE.
WRITING – Newspaper Article
Today you are going to write a newspaper article.
At Kiwi Kids News we are fans of the BBC website called Newsround. Read some articles here and select one to research and then re-write in your own words.
Remember to include: • a heading and sub-headings; • interesting word choices to make people want to read it; • quotes from people who were there.
Remember a Newspaper article answers the questions – WHAT, WHO, WHEN in the first sentence. It then moves on to the WHERE, HOW and WHY.
When you have finished writing your newspaper article share it with us at Kiwi Kids News – [email protected]
