All Whites striker Chris Wood has scored his first Premier League hat-trick.

Wood scored his three goals for Burnley as they secured a 4-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The result sees Burnley move to 14th in the league table and nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Wood is the first New Zealander to score a hatrick in the Premier League. It was his 10th goal of the season. He has now scored 10 or more goals in the past 4 seasons.

Altogether Wood has now played 132 Premier League matches and scored 45 goals. In that time he has played for 3 clubs – West Bromwich Albion, Leicester City and Burnley.

In International football, Wood has been capped 57 times for the New Zealand national team, scoring 24 goals. He played for the side at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and was part of the squad that won the 2016 OFC Nations Cup.
