King Juan Carlos of Spain has announced that he will be stepping down as King.
He made the announcement live on Spanish TV and said that his on would be taking over.
It is the third time in the past year that a monarch in Europe has stepped down.
Carlos has been the king for 39 years.
His son, the Crown Prince Felipe, will become the new king.
