Kimbra wins Grammy Award

Kiwi singing sensation Kimbra has won two Grammy awards for her part in Gotye’s hit duet Somebody That I Used To Know.
Kimbra, with Gotye, won both the ‘record of the year’ and ‘best pop duo’ categories at the 55th Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles.
To cap off a wonderful evening she was presented with the record of the year award by her musical hero Prince.
Kimbra was born in Hamilton and had only just returned to Los Angeles last week for the premier music awards ceremony.
Somebody That I Used to Know has topped the singles chart in 18 countries, selling more than 12 million copies worldwide since its Australian release in July 2011.
Kimbra joins a group of talented artist who have won this award including  Frank Sinatra,  Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, U2, Coldplay and Olivia  Newton-John.
Kimbra was up against Fun, The Black Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift and Frank Ocean for Record of the Year.
