Getting around to do everyday things like grocery shopping, going to work, going to the movies or getting lunch have always left people in wheelchairs dependent on the help of others to get them there.

No more though! With the Kenguru, a mini electric car designed specifically for those in wheelchairs, transport will no longer be a problem.

The Kenguru has one door at the back with a ramp for the drivers to enter on their wheelchairs.

The car has no seats and its electric charge lasts for up to 95km (60 miles).

The top speed of the Kenguru is 40km per hour which means it can only be used on local roads and not on the highway but will allow drivers the freedom to get around whenever they need without relying on others.

There are no steering wheel or pedals, instead the car is controlled by a handlebar similar to a motorbikes. The speed is controlled by a throttle by the handle bar.

The Kenguru is also designing other steering options for the future for those who do not have a lot of upper body strength.
