Prime Minister John Key is currently traveling through China on a mission to help our economy.
The Prime Minister went live on China TV live to explain the contamination scare involving Fonterra late last year.
He told people that the botulism scare was a false alarm and ensured them about the safety of our food. During the interviews, Mr Key said numerous times that  New Zealand’s food safety systems and testing procedures are safe.
He said the scare and product recall was widely reported in China, but not that the products were later found to be safe.
China is one of New Zealand major trading partners. They import millions of dollars worth of our food into their country.
