Prime Minister John Key has announced that New Zealand will have another flag referendum.
Key announced the news yesterday afternoon at a special press conference held in Auckland.
The Prime Minister explained that he was disappointed with the outcome of the last referendum and would therefore like to give the public of New Zealand another chance to make the right decision.
At this stage he was unsure of the timing of this next referendum.

John Key assured reporters that no public money would be used in this referendum, explaining that he would use his own money to fund the process.
Key said he would ideally like to get it done before the upcoming Olympics as that would be the perfect time to showcase our new design. However, he did conceded that the time frame would be tight. A more realistic time would be towards the end of the year.

  1. Does he not know the meaning of $26M wasted has hurt the people, especially when social housing, health & education are in such a sorry state???

  2. I don’t think it is fair because we already voted and it is wasting more money.

  3. Back at it again John Key only caring about his opinion. And deciding to waste more money for no reason, that money could be going to people who desperately need it. People who are homeless and live in poverty could you some help from the government. Instead he wants to run another referendum, when everyone already voted for what they want, and once again he’s going to be disappointed. What is he going to run a third when he doesn’t get his own way again?

  4. I lake the old flag & it is cool & good. it makes my home & Is the flag of new Zealand.
