Prime Minister John Key has announced that New Zealand will have another flag referendum.
Key announced the news yesterday afternoon at a special press conference held in Auckland.
The Prime Minister explained that he was disappointed with the outcome of the last referendum and would therefore like to give the public of New Zealand another chance to make the right decision.
At this stage he was unsure of the timing of this next referendum.

John Key assured reporters that no public money would be used in this referendum, explaining that he would use his own money to fund the process.
Key said he would ideally like to get it done before the upcoming Olympics as that would be the perfect time to showcase our new design. However, he did conceded that the time frame would be tight. A more realistic time would be towards the end of the year.
