The Iraq government has blocked the internet to large parts of the country.

The government has banned the internet due to graphic images been posted by a number of militant groups.

The move by the government has been condemned by a number of groups. They say that this means a large number of people are unable to get important information.

In the past week fighters for the Sunni militant group Isis, who oppose Iraq’s Shia government, have taken over a number of Iraqi towns and cities.

The violence is getting worse as fighting moves closer to the capital city Baghdad.

Most Iraqis are Muslim. However, there are two main bracnhes of this religion: Shia and Sunni. They both  disagree about how the country should be run.

The current government in Iraq is Shia while the Isis militants are Sunni.

As the situation gets worse the governments of America and the UK are trying to work out what can be done.
