This event surpassed the previous record of 6,213 feet, set by the Shaft Bottom Boys in 2020 at Creighton Mine, also in Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>Drummer Norm Dwyer humorously remarked, \u201cThis mine has spent 68 years taking rock out of that place, and then spent one day bringing it back.\u201d The Kidd Mine, known for its long history of extracting precious metals, became the stage for this unusual musical achievement.<\/p>\n<p>Breaking the record wasn\u2019t just about music; it also showcased the teamwork and preparation needed to bring instruments and equipment deep into the earth.
