The final Beatles recording, titled “Now and Then,” has been released, marking the first and only original Beatles recording of the 21st century.<\/p>\n

The song is a double A-side single with “Love Me Do,” the band’s 1962 debut single. “Now and Then” comes from a batch of unreleased songs written by John Lennon in the 1970s, which were used to construct the songs “Free As a Bird” and “Real Love,” released in the mid-1990s.<\/p>\n

Technical limitations prevented the completion of “Now and Then” until now when modern AI technology was used to isolate Lennon’s voice from the original cassette recording.<\/p>\n

An official music video for “Now and Then,” directed by Peter Jackson, has premiered on the Beatles’ YouTube channel. It uses footage from McCartney and Starr, as well as long-forgotten film from the 1995 recording sessions and home movie footage provided by Lennon’s son Sean and Olivia Harrison.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
