Hurricane Laura hits United States

Hurricane Laura has torn through the state of Louisiana in the United States.

The storm was so severe it killed six people and flattening buildings before moving into Arkansas.

At least 867,000 homes and businesses in Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas were without power over last weekend.

Laura recorded winds of 241km per hour. This was more powerful than the famous Hurricane Katrina from 2005.
