Hollywood to sue Dotcom

A number of Hollywood studios have filed a lawsuit to sue Magaupload and its founder Kim Dotcom.

Altogether, seven movie studios have worked together to bring a case against Kim Dotcom.

Megaupload was shut down in 2012 after it was claimed the site was promoting illegal .

According to details the site lost movie and music companies  more than half a billion dollars.”

Megaupload was built on a points system which rewarded users for uploading content on the site. People who uploaded movies and popular music were given more points.

This meant that the site became a popular place to get the very latest movies illegally.
