Heavy rain has brought large scale flooding to parts of Auckland.
Fire and Emergency services had more than 150 calls for help between 9.30pm yesterday and 4am today in West Auckland.
Numerous homes have been flooded and people have had to be rescued from their cars.
Currently, Kumeū’s main road and many of its shops are under water, houses are damaged and cars are submerged.
Auckland Emergency Management said it is currently preparing to provided accommodation for evacuated residents.
MetService have issued a heavy rain warning for Auckland, Great Barrier Island and Coromandel Peninsula until 4pm.
