The Government has announced that it will take over the running of the Novopay.

Novopay is the company that pays teachers and is the biggest payroll in New Zealand, paying about 90,000 people every fortnight.

The company has had problems since its introduction in August 2012.

Novopay is run by an Australian company called Talent2.

Talent2 will pay a settlement package worth between $18 million and $22 million to the Government because of the poor work.
