A massive 5m long Oarfish has been found on the California coast.

Jasmine Santana , a marine scientist, was snorkelling off the southern California coast when he spotted  the silvery carcass of the serpent-like oarfish.

Santana needed 15 helpers to drag the giant sea creature with eyes the size of tennis balls to shore.

Staffers at the institute are calling it the discovery of a lifetime.

Oarfish dive to a depth of around 900m, and because sightings are rare, they are largely unstudied.

The fish apparently died of natural causes.

I’m pretty sure there was something like this years ago, but who knows… 🙂

  2. I cannot believe that fish is so huge. Also my dad would love to catch that fish, and I also can’t believe it is a massive 5 meter fish
