German Chancellor visits New Zealand

The German Chancellor Angela Merkel has visited New Zealand as part of her trip to the G20 summit.
While in New Zealand she met with Prime Minister John Key and talked trade and the economy.
She also spent time visiting some tourist destinations and even managed to pat a brown kiwi.
This is the first time the Merkel has been in New Zealand and she said it was time the two countries formed closer economic ties.
Merkel has been the Chancellor of Germany since 2005 and is the leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU).
She is the first woman to holdthe position of Chancellor of Germany, which is the same as our Prime Minister.
She is also the first German Chancellor to be born after World War II and was raised in East Germany,
