A crazy law in France banning women from wearing trousers has finally been changed.

The law was created in 1800 to prevent women from doing jobs that men traditionally did, like working in offices. It was relaxed later and women were allowed to wear trousers   when riding bicycles or horses.

Despite the it being an official law nobody, including the police, followed the law.

Because of this move by the French government, both men and women can carry on wearing trousers safe in the knowledge they aren’t breaking the law.
