A new initiative by the Government has been announced, stating that all children under the age of 13 will receive free doctor visits.
The initiative was designed to help improved the health of New Zealand’s young people.
More than 400,000 primary school-aged children are expected to benefit from this project, which will cost $90 million over 3 years.
Starting from July next year, children under the age of 13 will be able to see a doctor for free, as well as free prescriptions as well.
