Flooding in Victoria, Australia, has prompted more than 1500 calls for help to emergency services.

Heavy rain continued to fall across much of the Australian state and authorities prepared for possible evacuations in the north-east.

The state is enduring what the weather bureau says is an “unprecedented” deluge that could bring three months’ of rain in three days.

Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria, has missed the majority of the rain. However, one owner’s luxury ride in a Maserati was ruined in the storm.

The car was spotted underwater beneath a railway overpass at Middle Footscray station.

The underpass is notorious for flooding every time it rains heavily.
